AI by Age ("we," "us") helps parents, teachers, and students understand AI. We care about your privacy and collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
Who we are
AI by Age is an independent publication reachable at [email protected]. Our website and newsletter are hosted on beehiiv, and some free downloads are hosted on Google Drive. When you use our site, those providers also process data under their own privacy policies.
What we collect
Your email address, if you subscribe to our newsletter. You give this to us voluntarily.
Basic analytics that beehiiv collects automatically when you visit — such as page views, general location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is standard website analytics and is not used to personally identify you.
Nothing more. We do not ask for your name, your children's names, payment details, or any sensitive personal information to read our content.
How we use it
To send you the newsletter and occasional updates you signed up for.
To understand which content is useful, in aggregate, so we can write better guides.
That's it. We do not build advertising profiles.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not run third-party advertising.
We do not accept AI-vendor sponsorships or affiliate payments.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our content is written for the adults in a child's life (parents, teachers) and for older students; it is not directed at young children, and we don't ask children for their data.
We share data only with the service providers that make the site work — principally beehiiv (hosting, email delivery, analytics) and Google (for hosted download files) — and only so they can provide those services. We may also disclose information if required by law. We don't share your data for anyone else's marketing.
Your choices
Unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of every email. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you.
Access or deletion: to see what we hold about you or ask us to delete it, email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA; we honor those requests regardless of where you are.
Cookies: beehiiv uses cookies needed to run the site and measure basic traffic. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
Children's privacy
AI by Age is intended for adults and older students. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the site grows. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
